No. Researcher Center answers from your lab's own documents. Use literature discovery tools to search the published record; use Researcher Center to ask internal papers, protocols, theses, notes, and code.

Yes. Local and self-hosted options are available, including Ollama and vLLM paths. Labs can also use managed AI or bring their own approved provider key.

The product is designed to say that the available sources are insufficient rather than inventing an answer. Where useful, it should indicate what evidence is missing or what narrower question may be answerable.

The lab or organization can choose the operating model: managed AI for convenience, bring-your-own key for provider and billing control, or local/self-hosted for stricter data-control requirements.
